Roundtable discussion on the PRC’s evolving energy policy, by Mr Byford Tsang, 29 November 2023

In November, the China Office invited Mr Byford Tsang, a Senior Policy Adviser of the International Climate Change Think Tank E3G, to lead a roundtable discussion about the PRC´s evolving energy policy.

Mr Byford Tsang is a Senior Policy Adviser at the E3G. Based in London, he leads E3G’s work on EU-China climate diplomacy. Before joining E3G, Byford led the supply chain sustainability practice at S&P Global, working with corporate and investor clients in Europe, Asia, and North America to assess and report climate risks. Prior to that, Byford was with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation where he managed a portfolio of philanthropic grants in China and Brazil, with a focus on sustainable urbanisation, air quality, and forest restoration. Byford holds an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics.
